I am using both a amaysim and kogan sim card on my phone. Whenever my spouse calls me from the Aldi network, it doesnt ring but I would only receive a missed call sms. Other friends hv call me on that number with no issues, tried using my dad's tpg to call and has come thru. Recently a potential employer has called and went to missed call as well without ringing but of cos I didn't ask her which provider she is with.
Does anyone else on kogan have the same issues?
My wife and I both have mobiles on the Aldi network. There have been several instances lately that I have called her and it went straight to message bank. I assumed that her phone had lost service. Our signals at home are not the strongest I have seen. She did get a missed call SMS. There may be more to it than that. Could it be Telstra taking revenge on Aldi users and dumping their calls when the network gets congested.
Tot to give update here for future reference. Today I transferred both my numbers, one from amaysim to Catch, the other from Kogan to Amaysim. Ask my spouse to try calling me again, still goes straight to voicemail when he tried both his Vodafone and Aldi numbers to call both my numbers! Then I tried using my dad's CL and TPG to call my numbers and they came through no problems! This is when I decide to investigate if there's some setting on my phone to prevent my spouse's numbers from getting thru to me. Found out that there's indeed a setting in the contacts that says ' transfer all calls from this number to the voicemail'! Mystery solved!!
My partner and I have the same thing. Tried asking kogan they were no use, ALDI said it was on kogan side. We didn't bother investigating further because my kogan 1 year is just about up and service and network speed are worse than ever. He just messenger calls now.
