I have a pen that came with my now dead Samsung Note2 and I tried to use the pen on my current Asus Zenphone but it doesn't work, can't even swipe up or down. Was wanting to reuse it to write or draw on new phone instead of using finger as will draw better with pen. However the normal black fat rubber like things that are sold specifically for touch screen use works but it's not as ideal as a pen cos of the fat tip. Does anyone know how I can convert the pen to be usable across any touch screens? i was thinking to cut the black rubber and try to mould it to the pen tip, has anyone tried that, worked? Thanks for any advice.
I think the note series uses Wacom stuff for their pens. This is an additional technology to the touch screen (Read: https://essentialpicks.com/how-wacom-pens-work/). The Asus Zenphone is not a Wacom device so your pen will not work.
Just use a generic capacitive pen eg https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/targus-sty…
That will work but not as nice as the wacom setup on a note.
