Although right now Yamaha YAS-108 is $20 more expensive on Amazon.
Yamaha is $199 @ The Good Guys.
Yes, prepare to be disappointed. Bought it, set it up, heard the sound, packed it back up and sold it immediately, no hesitation.
It's an ok unit, this is only a slight improvement over tv speakers especially if you're in an open plan house. However if you are looking for a small sized soundbar that isn't going to take up your whole entertainment unit then this is a good purchase.
Recently sold unit and got the Sonos beam which has better sound but still compact, bit more pricey though.
It's handy that it's small, but it doesn't support HDMI-ARC so with this you'll need 2 remotes.
Bought one for my mum then replaced it with a YAS-108 so she could use the built in tv sound. Annoyingly I now have the Bose spare that I don't know what to do with.
Does YAS-108 sound better?
I never really tested them side by side due to the convenience of HDMI-ARC

Unsure how you got this price matched as EBay does not have any physical stores.
Videopro has an online store, physical stores and an eBay store. So it is still within the Myer price match guidelines.
For $297 "slightly better than TV" is pretty damming. A Yamaha yas 108 has hdmi ARC, sounds relatively good (can't beat a surround set up) and usually around the 200 mark. Better value.
Not a vast improvement on standard TV sound
Yamaha YAS-108 outdoes the solo 5 in almost every category,and cost significantly less
