You'd normally trim your nails so there's less room for whatever, and as you wash your hands throughout the day, they are cleaned… Especially if you have to do the dishes and wipe the kitchen etc, you won't have the chance to have dirty nails. Guess if you have a cleaner who does all those things for you, you should just go to a nail salon and outsource that too.
Some peoples nails are so short that it has a huge flesh gab between the end of nail and the finger tips, i wonder how they do that?

I just use my other nail to dig out the stuff. Good time waster in meetings. Same with ear hole digging. I recommend having more virtual meetings to facilitate this.
