Memory Speed (Confused)

This may be a stupid question but I recently built a new pc and the ram is at 3200mhz but when I check the ram speed on the application "NZXT cam" it says 1600mhz, now it's duel channel does that mean 1600mhz x2 is how we get 3200mhz or should both of them be running at 3200mhz?

Clock speed will show as 1600 MHz but the bandwidth is doubled (DDR) so it's '3200 MHz'.

    • Ah, thanks for telling me.

      • Fyi DDR stands for "Double Data Rate".
