Bargain Polarized Subglasses - Where to Buy These Rare Gems?

Where is the best place to buy reasonably priced polarized sunglasses?

Up to this point I have always purchased Ray Bans, first at Sunglass Hut, then online. Paying about $150 after shipping.

I was doing well, losing them or breaking them around every year. But now I seem to be losing them every 6 months.

That begs the question, where can I buy sunglasses in the $40-$90 price range that can be easily replaced?

There appears to be a real gap in the market.

Any ideas?

Servos sell polarised glasses, so do Pharmacies, and as above the Cancer Council all in the sub $40 price bracket.

Not sure where the claimed gap in the market is?

Not all of the glasses sold in these places are polarised, but it's a simple check even if they're not labelled.
Hold up the glasses to another polarised light source (ie LCD phone screen, another pair of known polarised sunnies, or even the sky) and rotate 45 degrees. If your view darkens or lightens through the rotation, the glasses are polarised.

Do you have a health fund? I get claim "free" sunnies every year.

  • Take a look at brands like knockaround and Hawkers

Under $50 you'll be looking at plastic framed sunnies with plastic lenses

  • I think the real question is why are you losing glasses so quickly? I still have my ray bans from 25 years ago! Maybe you solve that problem then you don’t need to worry about your annual sunglasses budget.

  • Kmart, decent looking polarized sunnies for ~$10, stocked up on these after losing my ray bans
