No 4k@60hz. Apple’s adapter has it, if you’re looking for an iPad adaptor. Some video content will be in 60hz so you may want it.

    • Thanks for the information. Yeah, I noticed that the no 4K @ 60Hz has been a recurring issue with these popular USB C hubs

    • Why connect to iPad?

Cheaper than buying a 4k Apple TV if you already have an iPad Pro. It works on other devices too but some devices won’t output 4k@60, like older MacBooks with usb c.

Not sure if this will enable Dex on my S8? Some decent video quality on my 4K TV would be great!

    • they are $29 at good guys if you have a store with stock near you

      • Ta….I am thinking this one is better as it can used elsewhere to work with other phones. 4K@60Hz is what I am after I think!

    • Have you tried regular usbc to hdmi? Works on my s8

      • Regular USB c to HDMI works on my s8 plus, I just get a notification saying to use genuine Samsung dex. So this should work as well?

This works well with my Dell laptop, especially when I'm on the road and don't have access to my full-blown docking station and need access to extra USB, HDMI or an ethernet connection through the laptop's USB-C port

  • Amazon chat is pretty good with giving some credit on price drops

    • Thanks for the information. I’ve just emailed them. Fingers crossed!

    • Got the price difference in credit! Thanks again!

  • Have you tested putting the laptop to sleep and waking it again? Does the monitor turn off and back on again? My experience is that they won't do one or both. I've also had issues with Ethernet port speed being slower than advertised.

    • I haven’t used it very much since purchasing it yet, and specifically not those ports you’ve had issues with, so unfortunately can’t help you there

  • For anyone curious, this won't work with the switch.

  • Have one of these on my 2019 iMac. Outputting HDMI to a standard BENQ 1080p monitor so no need for 4k@60. Works great.

  • Is there a cable extension? I prefer everything nice and tidy and all cables under the desk.

    • The cable is about 10cm long.

  • Is this good for gaming and peripherals?
