as it is a uk sim, and i want to use it in USA, did you have any issues? data only?
no issues. calling worked, but i only needed the data.
Thanks
try airalo? eSIM?
Tmobile's eSIM support from iPhoneX and higher is what I'll probably try this year. $40USD for ~10GB, all set up via their app. For ease of setup, recharge, use — it's probably worth the extra few dollars. Especially if that means you keep the same number for subsequent visits.
they don't provide a number, their thing is data only
I used recently Sims Direct and they were excellent. Only issue was took about 15mins for it to be activated when we landed in LAX, but apart from that, no issues. Also, free wifi is available everywhere and I only used about 4gb of my 5gb limit (I was there got nearly a month)
i used a USA lebara mnvo sim card last time. used the t mobile network and had unlimited data which was great. it wasnt the fastest but great having not to worry about going over a cap or looking for wifi. was about $50 from ebay.
Im just back from LA and used Arieli Mobile, unlimited data and 5gb tethering.

They had promised to send the SIM here to Aus but it never arrived which caused me major headaches. The SIM was then sent to my hotel in Cali which took two days to arrive, in that time I had to navigate via free WiFi at Maccas etc.
Overall it wasn't a bad deal but the fact I didn't have it for the first two days sucked balls.
Have a look at their plans and see if it suits you, if you do order and it doesn't arrive within a week of departure get them to sort out a refund.
Thanks for the info, I'll check them all out
I used this last time, and was thoroughly satisfied. It's labelled a 'European' travel SIM, but includes US and some Asian countries too.
I used it in Australia, Singapore, Germany, Amsterdam, and New York City on my last trip. Worked a treat.
