Laser Printer for Colour Photos

Hi
I know that laser printers are not the best for photos but is there any range/ brand of colour lasers that are better for photos than the rest? I've seen some reviews which suggest Canon colour lasers are good for photo printing but they don't seem to be freely available here.
Looking in the $500-$600 range.

    How many photos are you trying to print? $500 can print more than 3000 4x6" proper photos in bigw/hn/officeworks.

    So cheap now to print at Officworks or Harvey Norman and you can place the order online

    Why bother with a laser printer and the quailty is terrible comapred with proper photos.
