Can Anyone Recommend a Cheap (under about $50) Mobile Phone for a Senior

Here's my requirements ….

1 …. must be a push button phone (no touch screen).
2 …. must be unlocked.
3 …. must be both 3G and 4G network compatible.
4 …. must be reasonable quality yet cheap (preferably under about $50).

It will be used for phone calls and texting only, with no data or internet access required.

Thanks.

    ☑️ classic Nokia quality
    ☑️ 4G LTE support
    ☑️ easy to push buttons
    ☐ Cost under $50
    ☑️ Nokia: Connecting People 🤝

according to Gizmodo it also comes with a 16GB SD card.

    • This is probably your best bet. You can also get a no data plan from Dodo now for $5/mo (https://www.dodo.com/mobile), or just get another plan and ignore the data part of it.

This Nokia is not suitable for Seniors at all.
Seniors require large easy to read numbers.
These numbers are too small and impossible to read for anyone with slightly weak eyes.

I know because I deal with seniors all the time !!!

Auspost has big button phones for seniors but they are around the $100 mark - Check here…

    • well spotted!
The Opel for $99 is spot on as it has, the large buttons, SOS button and 4G connectivity as well and probably the cheapest seniors 4G phone that OP will find
he can take his senior friend down to the post office toi check it out too and seniors also trust Australia Post

  • Don't forget the $5 dodo plan.

There is nothing under $50 with 4G and that is the most important consideration given the networks are in the process of shutting down 3G.

Next most important thing is simplicity and LARGE EASY TO READ NUMBERS!!!
So look for a 4G seniors phone
