    Questions related to what.

    • crypto currency.

      • -8

        Crypto scam more like it.

    • +2

It needs personal info such as legal name and phone number. Seems suss.

      • +3

It's a regulated Crypto currency exchange. what do you expect ?

        • -2

An exit scam, like most others.

          • @bm: I get what your saying, on one hand it help prevents fraud on the other it helps. Banks somehow get away with just a passport or licence number.

      • +1

You might want to google KYC and AML. If anything these questions make it more legit

    Smells like a scam….

    • -6

Gemini is not a scam. do your research before leaving comments like that.

      • +3

There’s no about me page or privacy policy on the site. HARD PASS because it’s a scam….

        • +2

🤦🏻‍♂️ Lol it's a scam because you can't find this?
You sound like one of my students that tell me they know all about the subject when in fact they don't.
Here's your too hard to find privacy policy.

          • +2

            @ph81: It’s not on the mobile site…

            • +3

@[Deactivated]: So, it's a scam? It just shows that you can't be bothered making an effort. Just because this may not be for you, doesn't mean you have to troll. It's as simple as that.

              • -2

@ph81: Based on the information available to me, yes I determined it was a scam.

If you’re not paying for it, you’re the product!

                • +1

@[Deactivated]: how much do you pay for Ozbargain?

                  • -2

@[Deactivated]: I don’t provide my real name and phone number like the crypto site requires….

Chris, there’s probably a reason you refer to yourself as “small” and “dead”….

                    • +3

@[Deactivated]: erm..it’s a regulated exchange. If they didn’t take your details it wouldn’t be regulated.

I’m certainly not encouraging people to get into crypto but I would encourage people not to vote on posts that they simply don’t understand.

BTW. My name isn’t Chris and I’m not small or dead. No real data shared here.

                    • +1

@[Deactivated]: KYC is a government requirement. Money remittance company's have the same requirements which Gemini also holds Money Remittance licences in many country's.

Really? I just researched and not many good things came up. https://au.trustpilot.com/review/gemini.com

Reddit also gives a good idea of the crappy customer support it gives…

        • +1

Wow some absolutely TERRIBLE reviews right there. Very shoddy sounding company. And yet the crypto shills in this thread reckon this mob are one of the most reputable exchanges out there?! That tells me all I need to know about cryptocurrency.

          • -1

@miq: try and google trustpilot reviews

            • +1

@shadowangel: So you are saying someone paid to put negative, not positive, reviews on Trustpilot?

What about Reddit then? Are those paid as well?

              • @Nachotroncoso: I'm saying look at Trustpilot, it's not highly rated but its trusted for reviews? which is used to leave negative comments in this thread from people that have never used or even heard of this company/product until now.

          • +1

@miq: And some of their images are stolen. Did a quick reverse-image search on their content and it seems they've stolen imagery/text from all over.

        • I have emailed support before there response times are quick. As below they have also paid the 20USD in the time quoted.

      • +2

        Gemini is not a scam

And Richard Nixon wasn't a crook.

Looks like a duck, walks like a duck quacks like a duck.

      • No idea why this comment got negged. The pitchforks are out tonight

    • +7

You'd only write that if you don't know who the Winklevoss Twins are. Gemini is one of the most regulated and compliant exchanges in the world.

Sounds like you lost money on crypto and want to blame everyone but yourself.

      • -5

yeah this place is a joke. people can't even use google anymore.

        • yeah this place is a joke. people can't even use google anymore.

Lolol okay bud. Take all your bitcoin BS posts and get outta here then.

      • Hahahaha couldn’t be more wrong.

          • +3

@shadowangel: If a company doesn’t tell you how they use your information freely and upfront, why should I give it to them? Additionally, anyone can edit Wikipedia….

          • -2

@shadowangel: LOL at citing Wikipedia. Oh dear. I’m glad most OzBers aren’t as gullible as old mate here…

            • +1

@miq: then this thread is not for you. move on.

          • +1

@shadowangel: Lol. Trustpilot and other sites can't be right but wikipedia is the bees knees? You do know how wikipedia works presumably?

      • +3

Just because some don't understand crypto it's a scam.

      • -4

“You'd only write that if you don't know who the Winklevoss Twins are”

LOL this made me laugh quite a lot. Thanks for the laugh mate, I needed it 😂😂😂😂😂

Referral spam. In fact, just spam in general. This does not belong on OzB.

    • +6

What referral. You don't even need a referral to signup.

  • Good post Op. I'll check them out.

  • +1

Looking at OP’s post history, seems he is more concerned with earning money through referral links than actually posting any deals of genuine worth.

    • +12

Looking at your history, you seem to be more interested in soft drinks. The point is, we're all here for deals and thats the common interest. Just because his post doesn't align with your beliefs, it doesn't make it wrong or a scam.

      Enjoy your night chief.

    • +4

more concerned with earning money through referral links

probably to pay for all their cryptocurrency losses…

    • I try and post deals when i see it, yes most do have referrals and yes i do earn from them. I use Gemini and it's sister company Blockfi.

  • This is everywhere on cryptotwitter

  • seems too easy, 3 questions to get $20USD but i did it. Why not.

    • Did you upload your ID after confirming your email?

      • Yes you will need a verified account. As per the terms.

      • +1

not yet. ill do it once i get credited.

    • Every so often something like this pops up. Checkout the coinbase ones. There is also others not on here

  • +2

When it comes to crypto its always the same 5 guys who come to complain and neg. I wonder why that is?

    • I did not expect the response. Gemini has not been posted here before, it is new to Australia. They only added support late last year.

    • got my credit today. :) Post has been updated with proof.

  • Is it possible to cash out the credit

    • -1

      Yes, many options.
Gemini does support withdrawals but though swift, which will have large bank fees.

BTCMARKETS, Independent Reserve, Coinspot are local options most support PayID. I use BTCMarkets to Withdraw (It's instant). There is also Crypto.com, wirex debit cards. Bitcoin ATM's(high fees).

If you travel, Bitcoin is very handy to have.

Travala you can use your BTC directly to book hotels and get large cashback if you spend over $300 (they have a booking.com partnership with pricematch). check ozbargin for that deal.
