I saw this ad for klarna, which claims to be the worlds leading part payment provider - similar to afterpay. They seem to have just launched in Australia with CBA. Has anyone used it ?
I haven’t used afterpay or similar since I think it affects credit history negatively. But this one claims it does a soft check which should not affect the credit history. They also claim to have more features than afterpay and I am keen to try it, but just want to get some thoughts from the community.
Thanks!

They allow you to shop through their app at any online store. They essentially give you a ghost credit card to make payment online and then the merchant gets paid instantly. Then you just pay Klarna back in 4 payments.
thats nice, may try it. thanks.
Save up for your purchase and just pay outright.
If you are really keen on delaying payment use credit card and pay it off with said savings within interest free period (helps with your credit rating too to always pay off your CC on time I’ve been told)
I use my credit card for almost everything I can and pay off in full on the due date. Was wondering if this can give some more interest free period, but may be not. I will probably stay away. Thanks for your response!
It can probably give a small extension to the interest free period, but the amounts are pretty small and time frame is pretty short, given how low interest rates are I think I worked out theee platforms allow me to earn something like 10 cents more per purchase, it’s nothing. And certainly not worth my time , let alone credit risk.
Have used afterpay good for unnecessary purchases but this new one has very few known stores/brands.
