Hi, we want to mount a Samsung RU7100 75 inch on the wall. We've never had a TV mounted before and was wondering how accessible the hdmi ports and stuff are. Is there extra work involved if I want to plug in a playstation??
Thanks

dont most tv's have HDMI ports on the side of the tv?
yeah that's what I want to know, if someone who has this TV can confirm
One of my mates just mounted the RU7100 82 inch on his wall, and he didn't think ahead about needing to plug things in, but his girlfriend with smaller arms than his was able to plug everything in after it was mounted.
You could perhaps provide the installer with the HDMI cables you'll need and have them plugged into the TV before mounting?
Also, all his HDMI ports are on the back of the TV, none on the sides.
Yeah the extra HDMI cables sounds like a good idea, thanks!
Wall plate for a nice clean install
My Sony has ports at the back and no way to get to them now that it is wall mounted. So I ran some HDMI cables and USB extensions from the TV inside the wall to the bottom in case I need to plug anything else in future
I didn't want to use the side ports because then you can see the cables
Cheers, will run extra cables!
Oh mannnnng
Mounted my 7100 82" with a Selby's 50"-102" Universal bracket and I think it has a pretty slim profile, so I wasn't able to do the reach around while it was on the wall. I was able to pull cables out but not put them in.
I managed to lift the tv off one side of the rails and chuck in some cables but…yeah, probably not recommended lol.
Couple of cables I had to add/change:
1. Replaced HDMI cable 'cause the one I had for HDMI ARC, the sound kept on cutting in and out.
2. Ran an optical cable for the karaoke mixer.
3. Removed the USB cable as it kept on running hot?…could be a bad cable but meh.
4. Ran CAT5 cable for better interwebs
But yeah, plug in all the cables you need first and make sure you buy good HDMI cables. Can't fault the ones from Office works.
Awesome thanks, I'll run 2 extra HDMI cables just in case and yeah, definitely get good ones in case they fail.
im looking at getting a 75 inch wall mounted as well - how expensive is it generally to get hidden cabling in the walls put in?
Got quoted $250 with the bracket, $150 without. JBHIFI was $399 without the bracket
sorry just to clarify - this is with hidden cabling in the walls? do these costs include HDMI cables, wall plate, usb extenders and wall plate etc.
yep includes hidden cabling, doesn't include any cables but they connect whatever you want as long as the cable is 3m long. Not sure what you mean by wall plate, but if it's the TV mount then it's included in the $250 or $150 without. I just bought some 3m hdmi on ebay for about $10 each
@[Deactivated]: Cool, thanks - when i say Wall plate i mean the below - ie what you would plug your devices (ps4, apple tv etc) into. This would most likely sit behind your tv cabinet.

@bkhm if you don't mind, can you please share wall mount installer details ?
I went with these guys. Overall I'm quite happy, you can supply your own wall mount for cheaper. Note that only one guy came and I had to help him get the tv on so maybe ask before hand if you need help. Clean up was almost none existant but it only needed a bit of a vacuum anyways.
Accessibility will depend on what mount you get.
