Hi, just activated my Boost which I got thanks to OB for a steal, but can't get mobile data to work? Calle in and they said I'll have to switch off for 10 min and then it'll work, but no luck. Any tricks?

Boost should work on band 3(1800). So should be okay.
If OP has 1800MHz coverage.
Should be falling back to 3G 850MHz OK though

The mobile data option under carrier settings is set to on?yes, it's on.
If you have ported in the last 24 hours, you might need to wait a little while more before data usage is enabled.
Do you have another 4g enabled phone you can test data with?

I'm using the telstra.wap APN
I seem to recall having to wait about 30-60mins for data to work back when I was with Boost. Give it time.
Seems like an incorrect APN.
Try some configuration from https://apn-australia.gishan.net/en/apn/boostThanks all. It came on now, took a couple of hours! APN was set, didn't have to change it. But on another not: my son is having the same issue with Optus and his Xiaomi Note 4X. tried various APNs as described here https://apn-australia.gishan.net/en/apn/optus/xiaomi-redmi-4…, but still no mobile data. Do you have to switch on and off and wait for a while once you changed the APN? Any other ideas?
Have a feeling its going to be an issue with frequency bands
