Was just browsing OzBargain and clicked on a discussion on the Coronavirus. When the page loaded I got a warning staying that OzBargain wants to install and run Widevine DRM extension. I am running Brave browser and have never seen this before on this site. Anybody know what this might be about?

Widevine on Wikipedia. Most people don't see it because it's already installed on most browsers. I suspect it might be a video ads unit that uses DRM-protected video stream.

Widevine is disabled in Brave by default and must be explicitly installed before it can be enabled.
Yup must be those video ads ;)
Why bother running Brave if you're not going to block ads?
Maybe for embedded ads?
