[VIC] Palmolive Hand Sanitiser 200ml $5.24 @ Priceline Pharmacy, Pinewood

40

Just got these in today, limit to 2 per customer.

We have sold out of all other brands, and unavailable from the wholesalers at this point.

Unfortunately masks have not yet arrived, but we're expecting some later this week. Unfortunately suppliers have restricted the amount available to order so if I do post those up they won't last long.

Available only while stocks lasts.

Update: the small ones are all gone now. Only the 200ml remaining.
Update: pretty much all gone now. 3 left. Won't be updating this thread from here.

Doesn't seem like a bargain, quick google gave me this: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/87803/palmolive-foam…

More to say we have stock of it.

Besides, that's a different product altogether. These are no-water-required hand sanitizers.

      • no really how this site works…its not called OzStockcheck.

perhaps better off in the forums?

        • +1

Well, let me know if it's a problem and I won't post anymore "deals".

I just thought it's pertinent due to the low stock everywhere around the area at the moment.

      • can we do click and collect from NSW store?

        • Probably not. I don't think Priceline usually has this particular product.

We ordered it as it's one of the last ones available from the wholesalers.

    • OP's got hand sanitiser, your link is to hand wash. Not the same product.

      EDIT:

      Chemist Warehouse, lemon, 48ml: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/87804/palmolive-non-…
      $2.99
      OP: $2.58

Chemist Warehouse, cherry blossom pump, 200ml: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/89006/palmolive-non-…
      $4.99
      OP: $5.24

TL;DR comparable, and for the smaller size, cheaper.

I'm abroad and I can't believe this stuff is sold out everywhere.

Even saw someone bagging the stuff from a mall toilet.

    • +1

Is it something to do with the virus from China?

      • +1

I've been told the masks are common place here but the sanitizer is the new craze.

Can't believe I am feeling rich from the knowledge I have boxes of the hospital grade stuff at work.

It's like having a crate of Blue label lying around.

Edit - oh yeah, masks of all sorts are sold out too.

      • Yes. Hospital next door has just got a patient confirmed, so it's gone crazy for masks and hand sanitizer here.

        • +1

Well, heads up. I have Microshield. Willing to accept single malts 1:1.

          • +2

@[Deactivated]: Single malt at 45% vol probably more useful than hand sanitizer, tastes better too

            • +1

@reactor-au: We'll call flavour personal preference. Personally, I believe Microshield is an acquired taste of the discerning.

    • where are you now? you mean outside australia those stuffs also sold out?

      • Borneo. No masks or hand sanitizers to be found.

      • It's next to impossible to find them in pharmacies in Singapore.

  • how much are they masks going for if there is any stock

    • No stock, the last ones we had were going for $3.95 ea.

Apparently we found another supplier for another model of N95 masks, but these would be dearer. Pricing for those not confirmed yet.

Will post a deal on those when they come in, but I doubt they would last an hour from what I've heard of the quantities we're getting.

  • Panic is spreading faster than the disease in Australia at the moment. Probably good to go into the soap on a rope business.

  • Price beat policy 10% off the difference at any chemist warehouse

  • Thanks for the post

  • ooh any dettol aloe vera by any chance? or hand sanitiser with aloe vera? , I try to use others but leaves my hands dry

    • Sorry. Literally the only hand sanitizers that we've managed to order in.

  • I went up to Westfield Booragoon (formerly garden city wa). Both Coles and woolies were sold out if anything but the tiny sizes. I bought the last few 200ml at Coles. The chemist had 7 350 mls. I bought all of them. Face masks sold out everywhere. I bought 3 of the 1 litre size on Sunday. I have 4 more coming via mail.

I also bought the remaining stock of the Coles store brand spray disinfectant. These have proper lids so can be brought on planes. Chemist warehouse called me to tell me that my tamiflu and relenza drugs were now in stock. They are completely out hand sanitiser and face masks.

It’s going to be hard to find these sorts of products going forward.

I see people commenting about how many people die of the flu. Yeah, that’s true. But how many videos do you see of people collapsing in the street from the flu? China is now building 4 coronavirus hospitals. Do you think they would do that if they weren’t terrified? How many hospitals do you think the Chinese have built just for flu? My doctor told me that he won’t be working when and if the sickness hits. His partner works for the health department. She’s not going to go in.

Stocking up doesn’t make you a weirdo. Most people have first aid kits that they will never use. These sorts of supplies may make the difference for your family. They might not but how will you feel if you did nothing and a loved one got sick?

    • But the pneumonia outbreak in Wuhan will not evolve into a massive outbreak similar in scale to the Sars outbreak 17 years ago, he said.

"We identified the new coronavirus just two weeks after the outbreak was reported, and we have very good virus monitoring and quarantine measures," Dr Zhong said.

"I believe the outbreak will not have the impact on society and the economy that Sars did 17 years ago."

Who's a laughing now Mr Zhong Nan Shan.

    • if your worried ayou can always just do it the 'ozbargain' way and go buy a bottle of metho from bunnings can just make your own hand sanitizers and straight it will do the exact same if not better job than any other disinfectant, can easily get face masks from almost any safety workwear or industrial supply type place

      • +1

Safety workwear masks and mask to prevent virus/bacteria are completely different as the size of what goes through are in very different scale.

        • Unless you buy P95 or P100 workwear masks… :P

      • They are specific types of face masks as they are to filter out the virus so those you get from hardware stores won't do the job, people who has concerns must know about this !
The best ones are 3M's N95 follow by the medical surgical masks.

        • The best ones are 3M's N95 follow by the medical surgical masks.

N95 has questionable value. Medical surgical mask has zero value (in relation to fending off viruses.)

wow, i still have 5x 5L Containers of 100% isopropyl alcohol bought on here from a few months back.

i just been mixing it with distilled water and making it 70% and use it as hand sanitizer.

just buy one on ebay and mix it up yourself. maybe add some aloe vera gel and a few drops of vitamin e oil, or lemon oil (all optional)
and you have 7 litres of hand sanitizer for about $25.

    • +1

now this person is a true ozbargainer. Why haven't you posted a deal where you ship people ozb hand sanitiser in Vegemite jars for $5?

  • +1

Stock up now before these go the same way as baby formula tins.

    • +1

Just came in to update the thread. We've got 3 left, will be gone soon.

  • Is this stock shortage just a problem this area is facing? Or is it everywhere?
In the Hills district (NW Sydney) there's no problems as far as I can tell.

    • Might just be this area. The nearby hospital got its first coronavirus patient on sat and it's just gone crazy with everyone buying masks and all sorts of disinfectant.

      • +1

Well considering there's a patient being treated for coronavirus around 11kms away (maybe Monday?), taking it to 4 in NSW I'm surprised there's still stock. Considering how I visited the largest shopping centre in the district.

    • CWH suppliers in NSW are out of all hand sanitisers

      • +1

Afaik that's only a problem CWH has though. Others still have stock.
