i'm going to be in Canada for 8 days. But at these prices it will be cheaper for me to pay for roaming.

    • I would say there are too many variables, pending your network, usage etc.got stung with a $250-300 optus roaming bill as they will also include voicemail saved or maybe accessed and is on the proviso of the daily limit. Become very expensive if you pass the daily limit. I like the ease of mind I pay one cost of whatever your requirements are and you get your unlimited calls locally etc. Mind you I have 2gb of international roaming included in my plan each month, but I prefer not to risk going over and just buy a prepaid international sim.
Bottom line is, if you've never had roaming cost, be prepared to batlle and monitor vs ease of mind not worrying and only paying one price. But that's just my opinion with roaming vs travel sims. Anyways enjoy your holiday 👍

      • with roaming it's easier for people back home to get in touch with you, and for you to call them. Otherwise, you have to check if you get international calls to Australia, and whether people at home have international calls to your country.

You never have to change number or give out your new number, or remove your sim card and risk losing it.

I find the convenience worth it. I will be getting 5GB.

As long as you don't go streaming video, it should be fine.

Don't check your voice mail. If you got a new sim card, you wouldn't have voice mail anyway.

  • Hi OP, would love to get a few of these for myself. I'm doing a few Europe and US trips and a Mexico trip too, but do you have anything that also covers Columbia, Puerto Rico, Barbados and others in Centra & South America?
I'm also planning Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Morocco or Turkey?
I saw you have the International 75 Countries and confused if the 4G/3G x either 3gb or 1.5 is per country or overall sim card?

    • Hi Tekuza,

Thank you for your questions. Sorry we do not have dedicated sims for South America or Middle East at the moment, but the UK Europe sim also cover some of those countries, kindly check this out: https://simcard.net.au/collections/europe-sim-card/products/…

We are also planning to introduce dedicated South America sims at a later stage, will let you know when we have it :)

For the International 75 Countries, the listed data (3GB/1.5GB) is for the overall sim card.

      Kind regards,
