    Honestly try Uppercut. American Crew left my hair really greasy and the product didn't last very long.

        I have used Muk and Rockstar as well.
        I come from a long line of hairdressers so I know which product works for my hair.
        Like you said its a trial and error process.

        American Crew is far overpriced to begin with.

    A personal experience with these guys.

    I ordered the American Crew Shampoo from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/506215 on 17th December.

    The product was supposedly sent soon after (I got a shipping confirmed notification) but never received the product.

    After numerous phone calls and no call backs, finally spoke to someone who promised that this will be sent via express post and they would also include a free gift for the inconvenience. That was on 17th January - a whole month after my order, multiple calls, no answers and false promises.

    Anyways, I got my parcel yesterday though "express post". The biggest disappointment - no free gift!

    So my experience wasnt great but that could be an anomaly. I cannot recommend them unfortunately based on this.

      Unfortunately, I had a similar experience, however, after order confirmation my order never shipped, then there was no response to emails I sent asking for an update, so after 10 days I did a Paypal dispute, upon which miraculously it was shipped out the same day. They claimed they had NBN issues.

      American Crew itself is actually a decent product, especially if you are after a matt style that will wash out in water.
