How to Remove Concrete Dust from Car Paint?

Long story short ive just finished a month stint working at a concrete plant on nighthift and have only just got around to actually cleaning the concrete dust off my car.

Its rained multiple times since i have been there.

I pressure hosed the car today and by the looks of it the concrete dust has made a thin grainy layer that you can feel when you run your hand on the paint.

My question is what product or tricks can i use to wash this concrete off and get my car back to normal?

Cheers for any help

You probably need to use a clay bar on it, which can be difficult if you are not confident with the technique

Might it be worth taking it to a detailer and explain my problem?

      • Yea if you are not used to claying and/or polishing your car, you could scratch it up a lot. Detailer would be recommended

Google it. There is HEAPS of information on what you will need.

You basically need an acid to breakdown the concrete, but just don’t go using hydrochloric or sulphuric acid. If you do, you might not have much car left. Vinegar is acetic acid and would be very soft on the paint, but may take ages to soften the concrete.

Your pressure hosing may have made it worse. I would suggest taking it to a detailer and maybe get clear cote etc repaired.
