    What makes it elite ?

    • +8

      Many things.

I think what makes it elite is that it is helpful, unlike you.

      • -6

How is it more helpful than other mice?

        • But but JV is special because he/she can bold. That's helpful right?

          • +3

@2pro4sho: Ahahaha. Can someone please tell me the history behind jv. Why is he sometimes teased or even hated by some members of the community?

    • It has rgb

      Elite vs Essential.

Elite has Mechanical Switches, Essential does not
Elite has a 16,000 DPI sensor, Essential has a 6,400 DPI Sensor
Elite has Chroma Lighting, Essential just has green
Elite has 7 programmable buttons while the Essential has 5
Elite has a braided USB cable, Essential just has a normal USB cable
Elite can move 450 Inches per second, Essential can move 220 Inches per second
Elite has a 50G acceleration, Essential has a 30G Acceleration

      • thanks.

It's like a list of everything wrong in gaming mouse marketing.

Elite has Mechanical Switches, Essential does not

        Probably feels nicer.

Elite has a 16,000 DPI sensor, Essential has a 6,400 DPI Sensor

No one in their right mind is using anything close to either of those resolutions. The sensor is most accurate when set as low as possible.

Elite has Chroma Lighting, Essential just has green

        You might like this.

Elite has 7 programmable buttons while the Essential has 5

        Actually a good feature.

Elite has a braided USB cable, Essential just has a normal USB cable

        Braided is nicer.

Elite can move 450 Inches per second, Essential can move 220 Inches per second

No idea. 220 inches per second is 20 km/h.

Elite has a 50G acceleration, Essential has a 30G Acceleration

Congratulations, your mouse can survive a more violent car crash?

  • My deathadder from 2010 is still going. Middle click doesn't work, but the rest is still great. So long as quality hasnt dropped these are are a great mouse for gaming. If you don't game, better to get something really ergonomic. These are good though if you have big hands and most mice are too small to be comfortable. The desthadder was the best mouse I could find until logitec brought out their current full sized ergo line.

    • I was going to ask if the Elite Mouse was better than a Fancy Mouse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fancy_mouse), but given a Fancy mouse is expected to last only 18 to 30 months I'm pretty sure the Death Adder wins hands down so thanks for the post 8)

The price drop may be because the "v2" model has been recently released. I don't think it's out in Australia yet though.

    • -5

Is the "v2" model more elite?

  • How to avoid the shipping fee? Have to be > $50 from Amazon US?

    • Shipping is:

$0 for Prime with $49 Spend

Make sure you have prime and that all items are eligible for prime.

Try your luck. But given the Razor QC issues might be better to spend a little more on the Logitech G502, $68 from Jerry Harvey

    • Is that actually still an issue these days, or just echos of their problems in the past?
