what do you guys suggest? doesn't have to be dirt cheap like that one, i just want something that's good bang for buck. it needs to have VGA connectivity because i use a laptop.

Yes that 88 dollar one is quite inferior. I just came back from OW, and it looked dull, colors were dark, washed out. =S

Or, you can add a few bucks and get the LG 23" FULL HD http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=4000 with RGB analogue, just in case you wanted to connect to it a dvd player and/or set top box and use it as a tv. And it also has VGA too. =)

what does 'full HD?' mean?
It means that you will be able to use the monitor in the highest resolution there is currently on the market. Which is in numerals: 1920 x 1080 pixels =horizontal pixels * vertical pixels.

What size are you after? If bigger than 20 inches you can try this
