Hi,
Just a warning for people who signed up under the $1 eBay Plus deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/506480). I received the targeted email on 19/12, signed up 22/12 and was not charged anything. I didn't realise this at the time.
Today I was charged the full annual fee of $48.99. After contacting eBay chat, they said this was an error (in their words a 'hiccup') and will refund $47.99 within 10-15 days. Pretty bad I had to ask for it. I also had to push a bit to get it at first until they realised it was their error. Hopefully they'll fix this in bulk as I got the impression it impacted other people.
Just wanted to flag this in case anyone else has this happen.
Did you end your eBay plus membership after paying? I did this to avoid future charges, a day after I got it. The membership continues for a year regardless.
