Cashback is always good (better than nothing) bUT as Ozbargainers, must compare it with your other options. Does if offer a higher cash back rate? What are the benefits on having the rebate locked away until you turned 60 earliest (unless you are now over 58(?) already). Superannuation is a form of compulsory saving having its own merits but the downside is money being locked away and any returns are taxed at 15% irrespective of your own marginal tax rate. So if you are a stay-home dad or stay-home mum, think triple before putting your savings in Superannuation (as opposed to other forms of savings/investments, not simply spending it on other Ozbargain deals, that is :P)
