It's really not complicated. Here ya go:

Step 1 - pour on/in desired combination (on icecream, in milk etc)
Step 2 - use a spoon, or straw, to bring that food combination into mouth

Did you understand that? Or is it still "beyond you"?

      • -1

Quotation marks around "beyond you" don't really work as the actual quote is "beyond me".

I must've done well if that's all you can nit-pick

@spackbace: I think you did well and I'm going to use your method tonight.

        • Quotation marks around "beyond you" don't really work as the actual quote is "beyond me".

That's precisely why he used quotation marks… Because it was erroneous.

@ash2000: Erroneous? How? Have you never heard of the term 'figurative'?

            • @dm01: That's virtually literal.

@terrys: Metaphorically speaking, you might be half right.

You'd be surprised at how many common essential staple food contains ingredients from China because they can't be sourced from anywhere else. Wouldn't that be much worse than a US food?

      • +1

        what ingredients?

        • A lot of the smaller ingredients found in things like self raising flour. Many of the big brands will be 95% Australian for that reason. A really big one would be gluten. It can be sourced locally but for significantly more and in smaller quantities than China.

People have put weirder things in their bodies. This for instance.

    • Soybean oil not only leads to obesity and diabetes but also causes neurological changes, a new study in mice shows. Given it is the most widely consumed oil in the US (fast food, packaged foods, fed to livestock), its adverse effects on brain genes could have important public health ramifications.

Thanks, the first time I've seen these half price.

I bought the chocolate flavour, 8% chocolate (and plenty of corn syrup)

Customs need to confiscate this gunk and send it back.

  • +2

It's not in the catalogue and I bought 8 today. BBD October 2021.

Love making mochas or caramel cappuccinos with these syrups.

    • +1

Are these good to use to make milkshakes?

  • +3

I was expecting great things from this Hershey's syrup.

I gotta say, not a huge fan of the flavour. Very bitter/sour.

Not sure why it gets such big props? The chocolate one is horrible as an icecream topping.

    • The only similarity with strawberries is a colour.

    Vomit chocolate flavouring…? Why?

  • +2

When I was a kid my dad worked at the Hershey factory in Smith Falls, Ontario Canada and all employees could eat as much chocolate as they wanted when working, but were not allowed to take any out of the factory, the theory being they would get sick of it and stop eating after a week or so. The chocolate factory closed 10 years ago and was reopened recently as a massive medical cannabis operation.

Well…my dad picks the fruit that goes to Cottee's, to make the cordial, that I like best!

      • +4

Vintage reference, I like it. Only the oldies will know this one, and the variants kids used to sing :).

    • Guess they got the munchies the other way round.

  • Does their syrup taste as bad as their chocolate?

  • I guess if you like it you can buy it. If you don’t like it then why did you come here?

  • I was thinking of buying it until I scrolled through all the comments.

    Is it really that bad?

    • +2

Well, for $2.50 you should try. Its quite a big bottle.

    • +1

Best caramel i have ever tasted.
