No bargain here, Trello has always had free tier. You then get nagged to subscribe to 'Gold' features.

It's just free tier. For pricing details, see https://trello.com/pricing

    • Correct. That’s what the title says. Unlimited personal and 10 team boards.

Why do we post Aldi ‘deals’ when it’s just the price?

      • +4

Why is this a deal when it's always been free? It's not even a long running deal, as it's the standard product offering … I might as well put up Clockify, Jira, and every other app as a deal ..

Aldi 'deals' are specific to the offer or item, for example - an Aldi high pressure cleaner for $49, when other similar items in Bunnings and anywhere else are at least $79-$99 for the cheapest.

Trello would be a 'deal' if they had a special offer, which gave you more functionality/higher tier but it was either discounted or free …

Rubbish, the Aldi stuff is just an ad. Take the portable blender on the front page, same/comparable crap available on ebay at same or better price.

        • I’ve just reread your post. Can I double check

So you’re saying it’s ok to post a deal if you find a product type that is cheaper than anywhere else even if the brand and probably specs don’t match. So long as it’s generally a similar product?

          • @Vote for Pedro:

I’ve just reread your post. Can I double check

Thanks for double checking. No, you're wrong.

"if the brand and probably specs don’t match"

Are your words. Those words are not my words. Feel free to reread my post again and double check again ;)

Got a gut feel you know exactly what i mean, so there's no point in me elaborating with examples. Others have provided examples too for reference if needed.

            • @db2k: Aldi doesn’t sell like for like. So you are talking generally similar. I think you’re not clarifying because of that.

But that’s ok, stick to fanboying

      • They're short term deals. This isn't.

        • But they’re not deals in the true sense. Take the portable blender for example. Same one available on ebay for less.

Same one available on ebay for less.

You keep saying that but where? I can find a bunch of similar (but not same) ones for the same price point. Where's the exact same AU stock 400ml model for cheaper?

            https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=Rechargeable+Portab…

            • @Hybroid: The first one in your link

              • @Vote for Pedro: $18.62 for a different unit shipped from China that may arrive within a month and won't be able to claim any warranty on.

Not comparing apples to apples here.

                • -1

@Hybroid: Clutching at straws. Basically the same thing for 5+% less

It’s just an Aldi fanboy club

                  • @Vote for Pedro: Will your eBay seller give me a satisfaction guarantee? Change of mind return? ANY Warranty?

                    But hey, saved 5%!

And this is all assuming item is as described and comparable quality.

                    • @Chandler: Don’t disagree. What I find odd is the drooling over Aldi ‘special buys’ when essentially the same products are available.

                      • @Vote for Pedro: My own opinion it's that ALDI provides a sense of security (being a major brick & mortar with the aforementioned guarantees), their products are generally well priced (only 5ish % more than eBay?), and are generally decent quality.

I don't generally look at the deals on OzBargain (generally look at the physical catalogue or on the website/app) so haven't seen the drooling you mention, but agree if it's as bad as you imply that it's a bit much.

      • We don't unless it's discounted or a temporary buy. This is neither

        • How about this one

          • +1

            @Vote for Pedro: That's not aldi :p

There's plenty of debate over whether that should be posted. Full thing goes free with no limitations I believe should be posted once, ever. That's just my opinion. But again, your deal isn't doing that. Don't take it personally, we get hyped up here if we think it's marketing rather than a bargain

            • @justtoreply: Confluence has been free for that tier forever. Nothing new

Perhaps this post can be a test case. Personally I don’t think Aldi special buys are a deal as the products are available elsewhere (usually) at a better price - like the portable blender

              • @Vote for Pedro: Yeah i misread the deal and was trying to fix my comment. Confluence should not have been posted

                • -1

@justtoreply: The question confluence poses is that over 220 people found it beneficial. The highest rated post on the front page. That’s currently rated higher than the half price zoo tix.

If it’s benefiting OzBargainers, why restrict it?

      • Well, then it would mean I could start posting everything - Free gmail, hotmail, facebook, WhatsApp, reddit and so on… Even ozbargain is free to join and post messages.

  • +1

free gmail ? while Gsuite cost more ?

    • +1

Sheesh, it is? I’m upgrading from hotmail then!

  • +1

Is the deal title even in English? I have no idea what this about.

  • +3

+1 for the write up. My PM is still using ppt/word to track projects.
