Nah I don't want to pay $49 a year to save postage costs on items that should attract a $15 postage charge in the first place. Most deals that may come about because of eBay Plus I would miss out on anyway so I don't see the benefit.

Most of us get a $50 or $30 gift card when we signed up during Nov/Dec promotions
If you pay the full price of $49, you don't belong to OZB lol

Thanks, I grabbed a 128 GB one from Amazon for $24

    • Link if the deal is still going?

oh I just clicked on the Amazon link in the OP and then changed the size in the dropdown to 128GB.

  • Would these be okay for dashcams?

for cameras sandisk extreme are better

        *endurance

        • endurance cards may be better suited however I have had a 32GB version of this in a dashcam for nearly 3 years now and its not had an issue.

my camera/settings mean 32GB = 8hrs of footage until it starts overwriting old files. its my daily driver, and i do a fair bit of driving (1hr each way commuting, then 40min commutes, now 30min) and lots of road trips/regular driving.

a quick look on amazon shows a sandisk endurance card @ 64GB is $30. over twice the price of these cards. that means its gotta last 6 years in my use case to break even. the utility of having 2 non-endurance cards is also to be considered (swapping them in the dash cam or just having another for another device)

also 6 years is a long time in terms of both dashcam tech and storage capacity. the card would likely outlive the camera, and the thrill of getting a 500GB mSD card for $15 in 6 years means your regular ozbargainer would probably buy a new one anyway :)

MORE LIKELY is that harsh environment of the car is going to kill the card, not overwrite limitations of the storage, and endurance cards offer no significant advantage in that respect.

edit: apparently they do market them as better in extreme temps, but given my regular card is doing fine after 3+ years of being parked in the aussie sun Im not sure its worth the price.

          • @Laserface: Sure, you can use them, I use a non endurance card in a surveillance camera myself. I was just correcting the previous comment who said that the extreme was aimed at dashcams.

  • How's the write speed on these? It might be a better alternative to the Sandisk Ultra 64gb USB sticks at the same price, if put in a card reader.

  • Any good for using in the Nintendo switch?
