Never tried them, what are they like?

    • +14

Delicious, and probably the best on the market.

      • -1

I reckon it's full of emulsified water

    • +9

The best. You must get the Dark Roast Crunchy.

I used to like the Kraft stuff only, but after having this, it's the bomb diggity. Also much healthier for you.

I eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon.

      • much healthier for you.

Peanuts contain phytic acid. Phytic acid binds to nutrients in the food, preventing you from absorbing them.

        • So I'll absorb less fat?

      • My Wife and I were pretty much exclusively all about the Mayver's Dark Roast Crunchy Peanut Butter but we had the Dark Roast Smooth by freak accident and it was equally as awesome in a different way. We were pleasantly surprised and now it's in our rotation. Y'all gotta check it out!

        • +3

          You daredevil, you

    • It's a good PB, I quite like it - you can choose a 100% salt free one too (most of them have a bit of salt added). I loaded up last week when it was 25% off >_<

    • Taste wise I like their offerings. They used to use peanuts grown in oceania, which was my requirement and used to buy in bulk. Unfortunately they now use peanuts from Argentina and other countries where quality certification is questionable. So don't purchase any more.

Can confirm that these taste great!

  • THANKS OP!

Wasn't in their catalogue. Should've been front page!

  • +1

Not quite as good as Pic’s, but a great PB.

    • +3

      I prefer over Pic's

    • At least three times better than Pics

  • Thank you!! Just bought Bega today out of desperation.

  • Yay finally it’s been too long

Mayver's Cacao Super Spread is an excellent snack as well

    • -4

      Yeah… 47% fat, 26% carbs… excellent snack…

      • That's why it's a snack. You don't have the whole bottle like a meal.

        • +4

          Oh… my bad…

I'll throw away my carrot sticks.

          • @jv: Or you could use these as a dip

      • How much sugar per 100g?

      • +1

Imagine having no idea how macros work and being scared of carbs and fat.

        • -1

          no idea how macros work

I just use the macro recorder.

I've been converted from crappy peanut butters to this. It's amazing. I tried Pics too, but not quite as good. Time to stock up!

  • +3

If you buy these sorts of non-emulsified spreads frequently, these are pretty handy: https://mayvers.com.au/product/super-natural-spreads-mixer/

Then again, this is ozb so a knife also does the job with a little more elbowgrease ;)

  • +2

    Is this nationwide?
Is regular price at my local in Vic
    Unless they haven't updated prices

    • +2

WA is full price as well.
Looks like the link is in NSW.

    • may be try scanning one?

    • Was this a Coles Metro?

  • -8

    Not nation wide

    • +3

      Not a reason to neg

    • cant neg for that lol

      • -4

        I can, and I did! :D

        • its gone bro. it never existed

  • +2

Mayvers are using the word "smunchy" for a couple of their varieties now (a cross between smooth and crunchy). As much as I love Mayvers peanut butter, I'm considering not buying it because of that word….

    • +4

      sing the word "smunchy"

      They should've stuck with "crooth"

    • What is the smunchy like?

I like smooth, so is it closer to smooth or crunchy?

      • +1

Smooth i reckon. I prefer crunchy and didn't like smunchy…

  • is this instore in NSW or online only?

  • +1

I can confirm for Merrylands store NSW all the varieties($5 ones) scanned at normal $5 price. The checkout person also told me its online only price.

    • Same Story at Liverpool NSW.

  • Has anyone managed to place an order under $80? The site is telling me I have to reach $80 for this to work.

    • +1

$50 minimum for Coles and $80 for Coles Express i believe.

      • Cheers

      • +1

Hmmmm 20 jars of PB is quite a bit…

        • I bought only 5, and 10 Sirena tuna that's on half price, and other stuff.

        • I’ve considered the same thing lol

  • Nice one OP!

This is a stealth special, not in catalog.

  • Damn, tahini not included (looking for a nut substitute for a recipe)

    • Imported tahini is a lot nicer IMO - currently I'm using Al Kanater, but Al Wadi and Lebanon Valley are other brands often recommended. Makes a big difference especially in hummus

  • $50 minimum kills this for me

    • Only 20 jars.

  • Anyone tried the brand "Purely Nutz" Aussie peanuts and tastes pretty good to me.

    http://www.proteco.com.au/purely-nutz/

    • Are they half price ?

    • Taste good, I tried the no sugar no salt one. Half price make the taste even better.

  • Ordered 10, thanks for the heads up OP.

  • Pic's is nicer

  • Just me or is it not half price?

Just searched online coles and it shows full price.

    • +1

      Expired

    • Yes, I'm so sad.

I had put them in my cart, and then got distracted & didn't check out. Looked at my cart again today, and the discount is gone. :'-(

  • Thanks OP got 16 jars of assorted peanut butters and a couple of other things to bring the order up to $50.
Bonus, in March I'll be getting $5 from Cashrewards as was a new Coles account (:
