  • Thanks, picked one up to replace my dying Tronsmart Titan (Ports starting to fail).

Still waiting on a good Multi-port USB-C PD Charger though.

    • +9

I still complain to this day that the Titan was discontinued.

Satechi, HelpersLAB and AKAVO seem to be a good choice for multi port USB-C.

      • +1

Yeah there's plenty of options available, but all in the ~$100 price range.

Hoping that prices for USB-C PD Chargers starts to fall soon 😛

        • Wait for an Ali cashback increase and get the AKAVO. Or scotty isn't paying you well enough 😜

          • +4

            @Clear: I'm just cheap, and can't justify paying ~$100 for a charger 😂

        • Agree with you…. Will wait til they become $50 at least

      • Any idea why tronsmart titan discontinued? Im keen on it too. I note kogan is selling satechi (https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/bigredtech-satechi-usb-c-charge…) for $70+ by a third party seller. Not sure if worth to go down this route.

        • They've decided to ditch charging and focus more on audio as it's a more profitable business.

That Satechi is a good option if you want to charge a laptop as the USB-C port supports 60W. JB currently sell the same model for $109.

          • @Clear: Any chance if you can run a deal for pd desktop charger?

          • @Clear: Listing on Aliexpress has two versions US and UK with different plug but do they take the same voltage? Or both from 110-240v? So it's fine either one for Aus use??

      • Satechi looks good and even supports Nintendo Switch. But way expensive atm lol

Thanks OP, right timing, just bought one,

  • Good price but shipping date isn't till At least the 7th of Feb. So you may not have the item till March.

  • Thanks OP, that introductory price was really appealing.

just shot up to $5 (paid AU$32.63 total) as i checked out! wasn't paying attention and clicking through then saw order completed price as $32.63! just missed the 100 units mark! :(

  • Would these be good for an iPad deployment in schools?

    • +3

That depends entirely on how you feel about the prospect of said iPads achieving sentience and rising up to enslave their evil school-based oppressors.

      Should work fine though…

    • Make sure you have spares or keep the original charger that comes with each iPad in case one of these BW chargers fail. Don't want a stack of 6 uncharged iPads when they are needed in class.

  • Would this charge a Surface pro 5th gen via the surface connect adapter? MS has the minimum rating at "A USB-C dock or charger that supplies a minimum of 12V and 27W of power." or will I need something a bit more powerful to charge it?

    • +1

      You'll need a USB-C charger.

Seems they are still taking preorders at this price. I just ordered one and it cost me about AUD$27 after gst and conversion.

Has anyone received it yet or is everyone still waiting?

    Just received mine this morning.

    Only took 4 months 😆

they are pathetic. will never buy from them again.

      • All of my four prior Blitzwolf / Banggood orders were received in good condition and time, albeit none of them were marked as pre-orders like this one…

        • It was meant to be delivered in Feb

          • @jv: did you order?

          • @jv: Don't quote me, but I think I remember hearing about a small outbreak of some kind of virus in China earlier this year, which may have impacted manufacturing and logistics…

            • @UncleRico:

Don't quote me, but I think I remember hearing about a small outbreak of some kind of virus in China earlier this year

When I ordered, China was very confident it was nothing worth worrying about for the rest of the world.

              • @jv: No they weren't.

But more to the point, did you or Banggood believe it?

                • @UncleRico: I was following the World Health Organization's advice.

                  • @jv: Dr who?

                    That explains everything

                  • @jv: WHO told you to place pre-orders from China?

Small wonder people are upset at them for not staying in their lane…

                    • @UncleRico:

WHO told you to place pre-orders from China?

The gave the impression that everything was fine because that's what China told them.

      • I am waiting for my cable from last 3 months. Should have brought from eBay. Pathetic

        • Definitely don't order life support equipment from them !!!

      • +1

You can't really blame them for the coronavirus situation shutting down factories in China, as well as the delayed logistics when they were able to send it… I'm just glad it came.

        • You can't really blame them for the coronavirus situation shutting down factories in China

When I ordered, everything was just fine and dandy according to China…
