Microsoft Store Not Sending Correct Return Labels

Hi guys, so I got this bundle from Microsoft.com during black friday

Xbox One X Bundle + Free Additional Controller + Free Digital Game (AU $479.00) & Others @ Microsoft Store (Black Friday Deals) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/499986

but the kids would rather have Nintendo so we never opened the boxes at Christmas and I logged a return request with Microsoft Store.

Anyway I've got a return label from Microsoft (after lots of runaround) but they only sent a label which says 1 of 1 and the courier sheet says 1 item. I received the console in one box and the spare controller in a separate box and the labels on the boxes when I received them say 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 with the packing slip listing 2 items.

On the phone and on email, the store reps say I can use the same label for both items but I'm worried that even if the courier accepts both with the same label, there's no way to track that both get back to Microsoft. Every time I ask Microsoft again they keep giving me the same answer but I know they won't refund me if both items don't get delivered back to them.

What should I do? Should I try getting a bigger box for both items to fit into? (the console box is already bigger than the dimensions on the courier sheet and I should be able to send everything exactly like I received it)

Thanks for reading

    Yes.

    End.

    • Yeah I think so too. I've frankensteined a new box using the two I received and a whole role of box tape. I hope they can open it.

soo… you just changed your mind and want your money back. why don't you give it to some-one who would appreciate it… or listen to the kids answers when asked what they want for christmas?

you checking me out? you should've checked out what the kids wanted for christmas before you took the xbox to the checkout. did you wrap it on the day? was there a look of W.T.F. did dad buy us for christmas when unwrapped? pretty sure kids tell you what they want… constantly.

      1. I didn't take the kids to microsoft.com to go shopping
      2. It didn't arrive until a few days later
      3. It was boxed in brown boxes so there was no hurry to wrap it
      4. It was a surprise (as was the PS4 Pro, Nintendo switch etc)
      5. Yes, 10 year old's do indeed tell you they simply want everything, constantly.
      6. They're not my kids, they're my nieces, nephews and god kids
