    Portable Car Jump Starter

    Aren’t all cars portable?

    • +8

Yes, but not all cars can jump

      • +2

        And not all cars start

      • hahahahah holy (profanity)

  • -6

So. Is this the one to get? For $75 it needs to be awesome.

  • +1

This is not the one with usb-c charging right? I could'nt find it in the description.

    • +1

yes, this model does NOT have USB-C
nor does it have USB-input for charging.

You need the specific power-charger for this.

      • Is there one with usb-c though?

  • +1

    Bought one, thanks OP.

Got a new car battery a couple of years back after it died parked in a back street near the city. Lucky some dude was working on his car in his car park and helped me jump start my car. I wanted to give him some money but he declined.

  • +1

Do these have a shelf life?

    • +2

if you mean how long it can keep a charge, this is listed under the specs - "Standby Time: 6 Months, Suggest recharge it every 3 months". Sorry in advance if you mean something else

    • +1

6 months, 3 in cold weather. Supercapacitor jump starters are better.

any idea when the "GOOLOO Upgraded 2000A" will go on sale ?

the difference is the battery capacity between this model (18,000mAh)
and the next model (19800mAh), for a small price difference.

    • +2

Not just the capacity, the 2000 has higher max output for starting larger engines.

    • +2

I spoke to rep got a code for 50 units (49 now). It looks like its $99 or $89 i cant tell but seems to be 40% off for 2000amp unit. Will post soon

  • This vs the Trekpow from this deal?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/510096

    • Yea, would like to know this too. Gooloo seem to be more popular here though

  • Anyone know why it's charging 5.99 delivery bringing the total to 80.38?

    • review delivery options and tick free delivery instead of other defaulting not to free one

  • Can anyone recommend something similar to this but can be charged via 5V USB? Needs to have 12V output. The smaller/lighter the better as I'll be doing multi-day hikes with it

  • +4

I bought one from a deal here last year after my mechanic said the charge on my 5yo battery was getting borderline. Have since jumpstarted my neighbour's car and a random's in the coles parking lot, but never my own. Works easily first time even on half charge. I've only ever made use of it myself as a fast charger.

    • +1

      They're good, aren't they?
I've jump-started another car and they were so happy
to see such a small device to be so useful.

  • This one or Trekpow which is going to be available tomorrow?

  • Is this going to combust if you leave it in the car during a hot day?

    • You should keep lithium-ion batteries in a cool place,
because they can combust in a very hot car.

  • Can anyone confirm if these units can deep cycle charge a severely depleted car battery? (allowing you to avoid charging via alternator by running the car for an extended period of time)

  • Code not valid, please fix
