Crumpler Humanoid (Black Heavy Twill) - $60 + Delivery (RRP $169) @ Crumpler

740

I have been wanting this bag for a while in the "Light Grey Marle" colour, but couldn't justify the price of $169.
$60 is an easy compromise for a different colour choice.

Nice light little sling bag, low profile. Perfect for my trips into the city or on the skateboard where i just bring sunglasses, headphones, etc.

Edit: Some other colours are reduced to $99 like this one was. I only noticed now this one was reduced further.
Edit 2: Also plenty of other bags on sale!

Don't forget Cashback like i did!

That is a little bit sexy. Good find OP.

Is it a human shaped haemorrhoid or haemorrhoid laiden human.? I am afraid neither is sexy in my opinion.

I’ve only owned one Crumpler bag, but anecdotally I’d say yes. Best quality bag I’ve ever owned. I hammer it pretty much daily and probably overload it on the reg, and I’ve not experienced any wear and tear or actual damage over the past 2 years I’ve had it.

      Also don’t forget cashback!

They also have a lifetime warranty. Pretty sure I've taken a bag in after about a decade with a faulty zipper. They repaired it for free and gave me bag to use while mine was being repaired.

I have one of their wheely luggage bags. Broke a wheel when I was backpacking in Europe - bag wasn't even really faulty, more like the cobblestone roads got to it.
They express posted me (from Australian HQ) a new wheel and instructions for fitting to my next destination… in Germany. 10/10 service.

I don't think they do lifetime anymore. 5yrs. But agreed top quality bags.

        • This page says 4 year guarantee: https://www.crumpler.com/au/repairs

        • Mine has been in for repair for 2 maths already ….no loan bag.

  • Just a bit small for my needs, been looking for a decent sling style bag though. I've always like the quality of crumpler bags.

  • Is anyone else having issues adding to bag?

I couldn't find pictures of the main compartment anywhere. Would this be able to fit a mirrorless camera and a couple of lenses?

    • That’d depend on the size of the body don’t y reckon?

    • +4

I have one, and the short answer is no.

You can probably fit just one mirrorless camera with one lens but thats about it.

This bag is not suited and built for cameras, and not much padding protection for them.

It has a tablet sleeve perfect for an 8 inch though.

      Its really has limited space.

edit: i have one I use for my daily commute at the moment.

      • Can you wear this bag down next to your hip?

Thinking about getting one for travelling - just storing the bare essentials like phone, wallet, water bottle

        • +1

Just get a medium/large fanny pack

      • Might fit an Olympus E-P1 and lenses…

    • They do camera bags iir. Worth looking at

This made me laugh "Perfect for my trips into the city or on the skateboard where i just bring sunglasses, headphones, etc."
The unnecessary insight into OP's life was perfect.

I always like to add a personal touch to bargains posted :)
Helps me justify my own purchase (as an owner of many, many bags).

  • Thanks OP, exactly what I was chasing

    Thanks got 5.

Hands up who read this deal as crumpled hemorrhoid?

  • Just saying, for about the same price you can get a patagonia one with fulled recycled material.

    • +6

For even larger savings and feel-good, you can NOT get the stuff you don't really need - better reuse than recycle.

      • They're probably going to ban your IP for that…

    • It feels good to support a local Australian company though. Hopefully with continued support they will start to be as environmentally minded as Patagonia.

  • Noob question - why would you wear this over a small backpack?

    • Different style. Comes down to preference.

  • One humanoid please

  • WELCOME10 doesn't work :-(

    • It says full priced items.

that's a full sick bag bro.
Expect 3/4of sydney to buy this for the new fully sick festival.

    (joke of course)

  • Wouldnt a single strap backpack be hard on your shoulder?

    • The max capacity is 4-5L so I doubt it?

If I didn't already own a Victorinox Altmont sling bag, I'd probably consider this. Got too many bags and not enough storage space as it is.

  • Thanks OP, needed a new bag for my rides into work. Your bag was too small but found a lot of bigger packs on sale as well. Bought the below bag 56% off plus cash back.

  • How big is it IRL? Can't tell from the website as there are no images of someone actually wearing it.

  • Thanks OP! Just rocked up to flinders lane store in Melbourne and they honoured the online price there too. Like you said it really is perfect for skating!
