Here's hoping a Razor Crest set will be released with baby Yoda and another Mando
They will be in plentiful supply and part of the regular sales soon. Supply just needs to catch up from Christmas and New year's.
I would not buy this, its gonna be in stock around 15th of Jan
I'd wait till amazon has stock but for right now yes this is good.
Nice to know OP has some mates that have no clue about major retailers have 20% off Lego every 5 secs .
Worst double 20% stacks will be in play somewhere .
I dont think you understand.
This set has sold out everywhere.
Yes, it will be cheaper in the future…if there is any stock left to begin with.
The demand for this set is far higher than you think.
It's $19.95 on Amazon though?
@Tiggrrrrr: right but thats $2 off for a 1-3 month wait.
I saw that too.
@Ahbal: I'm a bit put off BigW online. Waited 3 weeks for my last order, eventually got a refund.
Its brand new with a whole bunch of other lego, theres going to be more. And quite often target and Kmart will get this stuff way after amazon and bigw.
This is the Way.
I have spoken.
Yeah? Good
My problem with this set is that none of these mandalorians are in the actual show (please tell me if Iām wrong)
Thing is, Disney (and anyone else in film) would give designs to toymakers like lego long before the product ships (obviously because it takes time to make/design the toy). Between that time and release of the toy/film, designs change.
Much like kylo rens shuttle for force awakens, the lego set was grey and lacked folding features, whilst the final version in the film was black and had tilted/folding wings.
As Ahbal very correctly surmised, Lego coordinates the release of licensed sets with film studios to coincide with a movie premiere, so that kids can basically see a film and then hound their parents into buying the corresponding Lego sets, which are already in stores on the same day, because… Capitalism baby.
In order to do that, the film studios give Lego pre-production artwork, concepts, renders and designs to base their licensed Lego sets on, and much of those early incarnations of various vehicles, characters, settings and so forth will change quite substantially by the time the film is released.
Which is why Lego re-released Kylo Ren's Shuttle last year, so that it actually looks like the spacecraft depicted in the films, replacing the infamously inaccurate original release which launched alongside The Force Awakens. That was all due to the fact that the imagery Disney had provided Lego of Kylo Ren's Shuttle in-universe, made the colour of the ship look grey for some reason and since Lego has to finish their set designs within tight schedules so that they'll be on store shelves by the time of the film's premiere, they couldn't actually correct that design flaw.
Additionally, this is a "Battle Pack", which generally don't include main or even named characters from a show/movie, they are the uncredited extras ;)
I found this in Target for $22 (1 left in Hornsby NSW this morning). I feel it's a bit expensive for a what you get.
No Lego baby yoda, no deal
