    Targeted.

Now I know why it's called a waste line! The more junk I eat the bigger it gets!

So eating junk has caused trouble with your plumbing…😂

waste line A pipe that carries water from a bathtub, shower, sink, or other fixture, excluding a toilet.

waistline: the measurement around a person's body at the waist.

It was an attempt at humour but clearly you are too dull to understand

      • Never seen a joke made from "confusing" homophones?

He presumably wasn't eating literal junk, either.

        • It's a very common form of humour!
It relies on the unexpected use of words that sound the same. Found in many cultures & languages.

People in countries where I don't understand the language often explain the different use of similar sounding words. They often think the use of homophones in humour is particular to their language.

But if the person has to explain it's humour - it's not humour.

So to say the recipient of the attempted humour is the one at fault (dull) for not getting it, is a misunderstanding of humour in communication. I got it but just groaned.

I added the homophones, as some may not know the different uses of the words.

I don't think the alternative meaning of the plumbing term "waste line" was probably not understood when making the Dad joke.

          • @INFIDEL: They didn't have to though, it was patently obvious.

No need to be a downer, when the guy's intent was pure.

            • @ProfessorBargain: As I said I groaned when I read it. Like with Dad Jokes. Some like them.

There were almost no upvotes for the "humour" until it was explained as humour! It could have been a spelling mistake, rather than funny. And none before my comment drew attention to it, outlining the homophones.

I just added to the attempted humour. Many might be unaware of the plumbing term "waste line", which gave the "humour" a new meaning. Appropriate as it deals with removal of effluent! Possibly fitting in a Maccas Deal.

Happens with highpoint vic maccas with the cheesy toastie - it's totally free on the app (checked just now and yes still free). Ordered it and found they don't make it anymore so they gave me a cheese wrap instead. Some stores have free stuff due to software bugs.

Didn't work at The Strand, scanned $1 Apple Pie offer at kiosk and was still $1 :(

  • Apple Pies are showing as $2.70 for me. :(

I have a reward for a "Free side" with a Big Mac purchase, so would it be that?

    • Same here and never heard of apple pie for $1

      • +1

It’s targeted. Everyone gets a random reward every 3 days that expires in 6 days

        • it's astonishing that everyone seems to be still struggling with the concept of 'targeted' with these maccas offers.

          • +1

@arkdog: OP didn’t mark this as targeted. The mods had to fix that up.

  • I paid $2.20 each for 2 Apple pies yesterday bastard's
