    Half a roll.

      Still reasonable value though.

Side note OP, pretty sure this has been a pretty regular deal (at least in my area anyway)

        YAY said no one ever.

this has been going on for a while now. Rippa <3

Ahh, silly old Pepsi affiliation in WA. I don't mind the occasional Pepsi, but overall, their products suck. They destroyed Mountain Dew with the recipe changes, it used to be a star (although by now it's probably been a decade since it was good). Didn't mind the occasional Fanta either but now that recipe has gone down the gurgler too.

Not to say that Coke isn't killing their products. They are all rough as hell now they are sugar reduced. Kole beer used to be king, now I wouldn't bother.

I can't see that I'll buy soft drink at all soon, except for full-sugar coke and bundy ginger beer.

Maybe all the fast food stores should start making the option for cheaper burger and chips by dropping the drink.

    • Fanta is made by coca cola.. not pepsi.

      • Probably why it was ok until sugar reduced.

        • Less sugar is a good thing?

          • +1

@Vinodra: Good thing for what? People don't drink soft drinks for health. They drink it for taste. If less sugar causes it not to taste good, then it defeats the purpose

            • @RSmith: Exactly.

I don't drink it often. But when I do I want it to taste good.

I believe the manufacturers are trying to adjust our tastes incrementally prior to the potential sugar tax, hoping it will stop them from taking a big hit to profits if the tax does happen.

To be honest I think it's a dumb idea. They are losing me as a customer now, to try prevent losing me as a customer later (?!). That clearly doesn't make sense, so they'd better hope the majority of people don't think like I do or they will have no customers soon.

It will be interesting if fast food combos are no longer a thing because nobody wants the drink. That shift in mentality would be the beginning of the end for the big soft drink companies.

    • Maybe all the fast food stores should start making the option for cheaper burger and chips by dropping the drink.

      wouldn't happen

the soft drink companies give the fast food outlets "promotional money" to offer what's know as 'bundle deals'. They wouldn't get zip from the lettuce, chip, bun suppliers

      • +2

The drinks aren't free. Sure, the price of the 'combo' might not drop by as much as you'd like, but it would be cheaper.

    • Fanta is owned by Coke.

    • 250ml Sprite in WA

      Sprite is a Coke product

Huh? Sprite is a Coca-Cola product.

Edit: whoops, that was meant to be a reply to justtoreply above

  • This one comes with potato and gravy, not gravy by itself

    • +1

So did the last one, at least in WA.

  • Anyone knows if this stacks with the $5 sign up voucher? Also, be warned. Some shops won't give you the P&G to try and save money.

    • it's not that great most of the time, I would rather save myself a bowel run

    • +1

Yes the $10 recent sign up voucher worked for 2 of them . If u don't want 0 coke $1 will get you a can of your choice.

Now that Hungry Jacks is no longer cheap, this shall be my 'go-to' quick lunch until my local store decides to stop selling it again.

  • This or the KFC fill up lunch?

    • +6

The KFC one, along with free chip & drink 😅

    • +1

Red Rooster feels slightly more balanced with the bits of lettuce, I prefer their mashed potato gravy too. But KFC fill up is more filling and the chicken is more flavourful. XoiThit mentioned redeeming a free chips and drink.

      • Your are kidding. Red rooster gravy is pure grovel. It’s got this vegemite off tasting 3 years passed expired beef stock flavour. And the texture is like pudding more than what a gravy is. Can’t believe they make it or should
I say pull it from a bag of power and add water to it before microwaveing it… should be Illegal to sell. The smell of it makes me chunda.

  • I saw this last week after we ordered buttermilk wings and cheesy nuggets. I regret that, and wish we went to kfc instead.

Got one yesterday at my local in Springwood Qld. Was only gravy version no spud. But worst thing was there was they still have no WiFi working and so my lunchtime paperwork could not be done. Sad to say I shall think twice next time.

    • Gravy is filthy. Hope u didn’t get the shitsz

  • my local constantly runs out of the bloody 250ml drinks, so they either still charge you $5 for the box with no drink, or charge you $6 to get it with a can instead. hopeless.

    • Serious? That sucks, my local just run out of 250mlk & just substituted for can.

  • Chermside Westfield Red Rooster asked me for 50c extra flr this deal over the mini-sub version…is this normal?
