Hi, Have decided to pull the trigger on a smart watch for diving and the Garmin Descent is the object of my desire.
Travelling in late April, so looking to buy from late February.
Can anyone point me to likely sellers?

Sounds like the smart-watch you wear when you make your way down to hell.
There's been whispers that the MK2 will be announced March 2020 according to a guy who spoke to Garmin reps at Interdive2019. Apparently there'll be 2 versions, one with air intergration and one without. There was also a report that someone dug into the code in a firmware update that makes reference to a "Descent Mk2i".
All depends if you're willing to wait. Most places seem to be offering the $200 discount for the current Mk1 which I doubt will be going away any time soon, and seems like a good indication that Garmin are trying to clear old stock before the Mk2 drops.
Thank you SweedishChef. Will wait until March. I am not really interested in air integration, very happy with an old fashioned gauge. But interested in seeing if an update model has other features worth it to me, or if I can score a cheaper Mk1 as an old model.
