Even at 50% off, I won't be waiting around for December 2021 to get it.

Really like the idea of keyforge and the couple games I've had have been enjoyable, hopefully player base keeps growing.

Starter sets are nice but not essential if you already have plenty of tokens and counters from other games you can substitute them with pretty much anything.

  • what is the replayability of these given these are randomised decks?

I’ve played about 150 games of KeyForge with my partner and I still love it. But with a few decks to choose from. If it was just two decks… I would probably grow bored after 20 or so games - depends on the deck and how much I enjoy playing with someone. Each game takes about 40 minutes to play so you’d be looking at days worth of fun for a really low cost.

I was granted this at birth no purchase required. That's right…

        My imagination.

Also there is a mechanic to balance the power of the decks you get called "chains" which you use if one deck starts outshining others all the time. So if you get two decks and one always seems to win against the other no matter who is using it there is a way to handicap it incrementally that is built into the game.

Means you don't have to buy a hundred packs to find a competitive deck to play against that "friend" who went straight to ebay and dropped money on a powerful deck combination.
