Best Cruise Sale Aggregator

Hi all,

Seeking recommendations on a cruise sale aggregator website

Family and I are planning a short 3 day cruise (first time) - we're thinking a fri-Sun some time in June or July

How much can we expect to pay? Departing from Sydney. Not fussed where we go. Even if just In a loop

What's a good website to subscribe to?

Thankyou

I’ve always liked vacationstogo.com - the site looks like it was developed in 1995 but its a fast was to list cruises without huge pop ups and ads etc getting in your way.

have to register to view any lists. no thanks

    • This is a US site and not all cruises can be sold to Australians. Plus it's in US dollars and doesn't include taxes and fees. I have used them and they are reputable.

      • Correct, one other big one is that cruises not sold by 'Australian' sites/travel agents, normally are excluding the daily gratuity that companies like RCI have been forced to include in the price for many years now.

  • https://www.cruisesalefinder.com.au/results?destinationIds%5… has some cruises leaving Sydney for three or four days in the months you indicate.

  • I use cruiseguru. They seem to have a lot of cruises.

The “how much to pay” is a piece of string. It depends on how many in family, how many sharing the cabin, how much alcohol you will drink, whether you will eat at the specialist restaurants, etc. I would search for your dates and then checkout something like cruisecritic to research the boat

The room location is important, some of the rooms are noisy and some have obstructed views due to the lifeboats.

You can also get some good deals if you book closer to the departure date, but you do risk missing out.

My sister is addicted to cruises. It is nice not having to keep packing to move and the food included is a bonus, but it is, very easy, to over eat.

  • Ozcruising definitely has the best cruise search engine. So once you find your cruise, then look around at all the different ones for the best price. I have booked a few from cruisesalefinder and ozcruisng.

Most recent cruise I booked direct with Carnival, big mistake, took me 55 minutes on hold to actually pay it off (before I spoke to a person). If I had gone through a cruise agent, then I am sure it would have easier and quicker to pay for it. Waiting nearly an hour and then talking to someone whose american accent was so strong I could barely understand anything she said, was really quite awful.

    • Why couldn't you pay online?

      • Some people just don't like paying online. I have a friend who is in their late 20s who will not buy anything online (who has lived/grown up with the internet).

It's funny and also really ridiculous.

      • I would if I could, there is no way to pay online, it was definitely only via phone. There was a bpay option, but when I rang up, I was told that they were not doing bpay anymore.

        • Well I've never paid for anything over the phone and I'm certainly not going to start now.

          They're not having my business.
