Just looking for some peoples inputs or thoughts about this tv in regards to its gaming functionality I play the PS4 and it would be good to future proof a bit for the PS5. I don’t really understand all the tech talk but just looking to get the most bang for my buck.
The Mrs has allowed me to buy it if I decide on it so that’s a bonus and this tv is on sale at the moment for about 1000 from JB, Good Guys, Hardey Normal etc.

The cheapest price I've seen for this TV is $877 on eBay but that deal was sold out. I recently brought this TV for $960 at JB delivered. In terms of gaming, it alright at 100hz. Unless your really competitive in gaming then you can go with something higher in terms of hz. For the 1k mark you're getting pretty good specs. HDR, 4K and 65". The Smart OS (WebOS) is also really good so you won't need an Nvidia shield or chrome cast. The TV has Plex, Stan, Netflix, Prime, Chrome Cast and Air Play.
