So I bought a cheap RC Electric boat to use with the kids on the lake. But the battery goes flat in about 5 mins :(
I searched for spares and found them at Amazon USA:

However, it wont ship to me, probably because of hazmat laws :(
Anyway, I tried to find them in Australia, but they are more expensive…they have to be the same dimensions to fit the battery compartment.
Any suggestions ?

+1 for Hobbyking. Only thing you may have to do is change from a JST type plug to XT60.
And if your boat is only lasting 5 mins, there is a good chance that they are crap battery packs in it and may not be LiPo and may be NiMh. And I highly doubt that 1,400mAh rating on that battery as well. At 5 mins, it's probably closer to 350~500mAh.
A boat should not have that much of a drain on a battery. It's only 1 motor driving a small prop.
I'm getting a few lipos shipped from the states in a few weeks. If you're in no rush, we can work something out. If you are in a rush, then probably need to pay whatever the local rate is.
