If you look at the photo, you can see small buckets / cups on the serving window shelf - I'm assuming all you'll get is a cup of popcorn chicken or something else worth stuff all (most likely not worth the time queuing for it to begin with). Just another sponsor gimmick - giving it a + though as it's free, and the Stars choking comment is gold :)

My colleagues bragged to me a while back about getting free ice cream from Messina. One scoop each, for which they queued 45 minutes. Even billed at the meagre rate of my day job, that makes their ice cream $27 per scoop. Pretty expensive for free ice cream.

They had one of these in Martin Place during grand final week. You get a cup with a little chicken strip and some fries.
Queue moved relatively quickly, however if we are talking MCG good luck with the wait.
