Hi everyone. I was hoping to buy some opal jewelry in Sydney (~1K) and was wondering if anyone had any experience sussing out what stores are good.
Want to avoid the obvious tourist traps, i.e. the opal and pearl divers which sell triplets for the price of solid opals. I've checked out cosmopolitan and volle, the former of which I preferred as the latter was more along the lines of '20% off if you heard about us online' sales pitch.
Surely someone has an idea of what's reasonable value?
Thanks for the tip. He has some beautiful items that seems fairly priced on his website, the pendants in particular. Unfortunately I'm after a set of matching earrings which are out of stock.
FYI he does seem to also sell triplets, but they are clearly described as such
never used to sell them but as you say if they are clearly labelled … He will for an extra fee make whatever you wish, just if you need it quick for a bday etc the wait may be too long, He owns an opal mine and often is away getting more stone. The awards he's won for designs is incredible

Try Ian Here its Bellingen not Sydney but the guys not a trap doesn't do doublets or triplets etc multi award winner
