Third Party Property Damage Car Insurance Recommendations

Hi,

Just wondering what Third party car insurers do you use? (I already have CTP. Goal is to cover me in case i damage someone else's car)

I was suggested that most cost around $240. However, once I searched come up to be around $350.

    Because it depends on your individual circumstances e.g. age, sex, where you live, type of car, driving experience …

      Thanks. PD insurance comes up for $299. Rest are atleast $100 more. Which one did you choose?

    While your car might be worth much, also get quotes on full comp, you might be surprised for a few dollars more you can get full comp.

    Many years ago I only had 3rd party on a bomb of a car, but then found out for a extra $50 a year I could get full comp on it.

    full comp gives you all those 'extra' things that protect you. hint not sure what they are? Read the endless insurance threads here.

      What he said. Check the quotes, you might be surprised.

      If you only get TPP you need to be able to cope if someone else hits you and delays paying or doesn’t pay. Ie you need to have enough funds available to purchase another vehicle or be able to go without for a while.

      My third party property covered my car up to the value of $5000 when someone else ran into it. Given it wasn't worth more than that third party was all I needed.

        That would be for an uninsured driver that caused the incident. What if it is an insured driver who refuses to claim? There is a thread on that somewhere here now.

          That was where both parties had insurance and the OP was already covered. They just didn't like their own insurance coverage 😂

    By purchasing Third Party Property Insurance the OP must sign and additional agreement not to create threads titled : "Someone hit my car, won't respond, only have Third Party, what do I do? LEL"
