ING ATM Fee Reversal

I'm overseas at present so can't call ING direct, but I've been using their free international ATM rebates. They've been working fine but the last couple, I see the fee be charged, the fee be reimbursed, then I see an entry for "Reversal international ATM fee", which applies the fee again.

Anyone experienced this? I continue to have met the requirements for the free ATM offer.

    Should be
    International transaction fee
    International transaction fee rebate
International atm withdrawal fee (which I believe is $2.50 this is an ING fee)
    International atm withdrawal fee rebate

Some atms also charge an atm fee which would also be reversed.

Transaction fees are the conversion charges from what ever currency to local currency.

Also your post is 3 or so hours ago.
4 and a 1/2 hours ago it switched to Jan 1st which means new month.
Are you certain you met the conditions in December for free transactions in January?

  • Yes I meet the requirements for January and I made the transactions 2 days ago.

For example, it credits me $3.42 for intestinal atm fee and $2.50 for the ing fee. Then it does a fee reversal so I end up paying these fees.

  • You can easily call ING from overseas using Skype. I did from both Argentina and Chile in mid-2019. Just Skype them and ask those questions.

  • Ontop of SydneySwan's suggestion you can message them through the app.

  • if you have a home loan with ING, all these features and rebates and automatically unlocked for life of loan

  • Ok, im having this same issue. I used the card as normal this month then noticed only some machines had rebates.
I contacted ING which refunded some fees then told me it was going to be okay the fault should be fixed and to call back if not.

I used two diffrent ATM machines twice more both times no rebate, call again they said the last credit was a one time deal and they don't do rebates on owner atm fees. Which is not true?

Has anyone else had this issue recently? I always send the correct amount to another account and the fee is overdrawing my account which again is not ment to happen.
