32GB MicroSD Card - Generic Brand $5.65 AUD inc. GST Delivered @ Joybuy/JD.com

30

For those who do have ebay plus who want at least 3 you will be best to stick to this $15 for 3x32gb Sandisk Ultra GREY: credit to nocure

For those who don't have ebay plus and/or just want one here's a cheapy alternative at $5.65 delivered from China.

Don't expect:
1) Sandisk quality .
2) Lightning fast speeds at this price.
3) Warranty or lifetime guarantee at this price.

Do expect:
1) Based on the reviews at least something to temporarily backup data that will be ok but probably not HD 4k seamless fast.
2) A class 10 rated card which will give at least a 10mb/s minimum write speed. On a usb2.0 platform Joybuy are saying about "Read speed around 15-30MB/S ,Write speed around 9-12MB/S". Some independent reviewers are testing about 20 read and 15 write.
3) Slow postage that may never arrive. Although personally my previous experiences and other ozbargainers have indicated roughly 2 weeks to metro areas in Oz for small items such as this that should be in stock.

I think you can get different colours/patterns for the same card also:

Not the best bargain but worth a look for some!

Not to take away from your post OP, I think more posts here is great, and it is a bargain if that is what you're after.

But just wanted to share in case anyone is looking, you can get a 32gb reputable brand card from MSY or Umart for around $12. Might be worth the extra few bucks if you want reliability and to have the product instantly.

Yeah I find the more discussion the better even with bad deals others will share their stories or help the community with better deals and ideas so it's a bit of a win win!

I would pay $1.35 more instead

    • I hadn't seen this before my post! Agreed this is a better deal! Wonder if it's part of their update sales lately. Good find!

  • Might be easier to create a new email address and sign up to eBay plus trial…

  • You can get 3x32GB Sandisk/Samsung from Apus Ebay or 3x64GB Samsung for $20 if you are Ebay plus member.

  • From past experience I would never buy no-brand again. Bought 64Gb units and both failed unreadable within weeks. I wouldn't even call it temporary storage.

Of course different situation but please be aware there's really, really, crap cards out there.

    • I have heard a handful of stories like this too with generic brands. I had a cheapy netpac 64gb use it intermittently to backup files on my children's tablets and it's still running good but am curious were you running them constantly like in a phone or anything? Trying to determine if minimal use makes a difference in prolonging even though it kind of defeats the purpose anyway…

      • Can't remember where one of them went (family full of gadgets) but the one that only lasted a week was in my son's Samsung handset, yes, I think it was an S4 at the time. It was not being used heavily.

To this date I've never had a Samsung SD card fail, even the 32Gb one in my Alfa that's been in there for nearly 4 years with nearly 5000 songs on it I play in the car hours in a week.

To me, it's just not worth it.

  • I really would not recommend buying generic sd cards when you can buy Samsung or Sandisk at almost the same price
