I've had alot of issues the Canon powershot D10 I bought and this is the latest email I had to send to Canon;
I received back my Canon Powershot D10 approximately two weeks ago after numerous dramas concerning it's whereabouts and late delivery. The combined incompetence of Canon and their courier wasted several hours of my time on the day chasing around a camera that was meant to be sent back to me 2 days earlier. First my house number was written down as 25 instead of 75, an error that occurred from Canon since the information I gave was TYPED AND PRINTED. Than Canon had no idea where my camera was or which post office it may be located at. The post office which your Canon's courier indicated the camera was located was not there.
The camera was originally sent to Canon for repair under warranty since it's less then a year old and it had white vertical lines. NOW, the camera is 'supposedly' repaired the white vertical lines appear when the camera is NOT in contact with water… I am absolutely not surprised that Canon did not check the product thoroughly before sending it back to me. The camera I forked out money for is now in a WORST state then PREVIOUS.
I am disgusted by Canon's level of customer service and product and am not interested dealing with Canon for ANY service options. I have spoken to Greg from Photo Continental (Mt Gravatt) from whom I purchased the affected Camera through and the ACCC (ref: 1135359) both whom have suggested requesting a credit back to the retailer from Canon.
PLEASE CREDIT PHOTO CONTINENTAL IMMEDIATELY FOR THE FAULTY CANON POWERSHOT D10 CAMERA THAT I PURCHASED FROM THEM.
I expect a reply to this email IMMEDIATELY from Canon with requested granted and am not happy with the 'maybe 1 month' reply time frame which Stanley your customer service agent indicated.
please note: a copy of this email will also be sent to the QLD Office of Fair Trading
will keep ozbargainers updated on their reply, but if you're thinking of buying a canon product. Good Luck!!
btw, it took them 4 weeks to change 3 gaskets in the camera.. that was their 'service'.
calm down would you like a tissue?
