  It's interesting if you flip your thinking on this:
  What if this "special" price was actually the normal price and then they just price jack it 100% every second week?
  That's what it's beginning to feel like with all these "half price" ice creams that were already obscenely overpriced to begin with and are on nearly never ending specials.

    It's not that interesting.
    A lot of products go on "special" every few weeks.

    It's just a matter of whether you can wait to buy when cheap vs convenience of buying at any time.
