Medium 360 Day Plan Recharge $199 (Normally $215) @ Lebara

150

Highlighting this deal because there seems to be an error in check-out, making it $15 cheaper. On the website, it states that if you're a current Lebara customer looking to recharge, the Medium 360 day plan is $215. When I checked out, it was $199.90.

Medium 360 day plan (About $16.60 per mth):
12GB per month
Unlimited calls and text to 30 countries (e.g. Vietnam, US, Venezuela)

With this error, it's better than:
Small 180 day plan ($100, or about $16.60 per mth)
6GB + 34GB bonus (=about 12GB per month)
Unlimited calls and text to 20 countries

  • Long gone the Lebara bargains. Nothing interesting me anymore.

    • Any idea where the good deals are? My Kogan mobile plan is about to expire and could use a new deal.

      • Catchconnect $15 (or less with any available CashRewards/ShopBack/Groupon deal) for 54Gb data over 90 days

If you are OK with "voice to text" instead of voicemail, then you can get 210gb for $190 on Belong. It takes a little bit of effort, but not too much.
That's $40 up front (covers your first two months), and then $15 per month for 10 months.
Basically, you bank 200gb in your first two months, and then switch to the 1gb/month plan.
If you don't want/need international calls or texts, it would come down to $10 per month, so $140 total.
After 12 months, if you still have data left in your bank, you could just stay on the 1gb plan for $10 or $15 per month.
If you need to top up your bank at any time, you can add 80gb for $20, and your next month will be free.

  • the boost 300 plan reduced to $240 with 240GB to use over the year is a decent deal

    • Good stuff! I use Lebara primarily for the international calls. Good to see that Boost has that capability.

Also, a comment to all the other commentators: When on 5GB+ a month, I was already not using up the full data allowance, so while Boost or other plans offer better value for money, because of my usage pattern, I'm coming out better with Lebara's $199.90 plan (because I only spend $199.90 rather than $240, and that suits me).

  • why Lebara doesn't reduce the price for the Large plan?

  • Optus currently has a decent Prepaid 365 Day value deal for those looking for a cheaper long term plan. 120GB over 365days (including bonus 60GB Data), unlimited calls and text. Used to be $180, now $150 - Sale ends 29.03.2020 (Must activate by 05/04/20). Thinking of porting over if Lebara doesn't do a sale on their smaller plans anytime soon.
