I had some grubs stay in my airbnb recently and want to deep clean the mattress. I’m contemplating buying a small handheld carpet spot cleaner
https://www.binglee.com.au/bissell-spotclean-36984?gclid=EAI…
to see if it would clean the mattress and I could use it on all the other beds in the future. My concern is, would this be suitable, does it have enough suction? will it leave the mattress to damp?
Has anyone tried this method or can you suggest a different device.
I have used baking soda and the regular dyson mattress tool, it still doesn’t look great.

Do you have a link for one ? I’d be interested to look.
We bought this off gumtree
https://bissell.com.au/products/little-green-2067f/It works well on synthetic carpet and it seemed okay on couch fabric (was damp but dried after a day or so).
I would not buy it just for one mattress but if you plan to use often its good for the price (on special).
If the mattress is badly stained then perhaps more cost effective to replace it and use a mattress protector.
yeah it’s not too badly stained. I was just thinking for people that stay long term. i’d like to clean the mattress in between.
good for you for thinking about your clients. i imagine there's a lot of people who wouldn't do it
Great question, I’ve been weighing options like this for upholstery cleaning and spot carpet cleans etc but also concerned about portable units being underpowered like vacuums generally are. Have you considered the Karcher steam cleaners by any chance?
