What is going on with the total lack of any decent discount codes for eBay especially over the pre-Christmas and Boxing Day sales period? (Apart from that crappy plateau one that only works on a few random items)

But last year eBay had a 10% off site-wide code (from the 26th to the 28th of December) running
Yeah, I was waiting to buy something, but now it's more expensive than before boxing day sales because there's no eBay codes.
But yeah, I'm sure it will be back after the Christmas period.
Yes eBay won’t offer discounts when sales are good. Wait till after Australia Day and the discounts come flooding in.
IMO the $1 Ebay Plus deal for basically everyone was a great deal.
They are pushing their Ebay Plus system… same as with Amazon Prime. It kills the good deals we used to get without paying a subscription.

Wow - after Ebay having almost continuous 20% off coupons running simultaneously with other voucher codes I think this is the first time in a long while they have almost no deals going.
Perhaps they've given all the staff time off, or maybe they think there is enough business with Christmas sales?
May be they are loosing $$ in the bottom line. There is no staff , its all algorithm .
Possible, although I would have thought they would need some staff to negotiate with the various sellers.
Any ideas when the $1 weekend selling fees will make a return??
I'm still surprised we haven't seen any more of the 20% off sales.
Whilst the prices on those sellers typically we're the cheapest to start with the 20% off generally made them about the cheapest around for common tech items.
Was the same last year. I think they get enough activity this time of year without them.
