Hi all,
First time poster here, hoping to get a bit of advice from the brain's trust for a new TV.
For some context - I'm a young professional, work 5-6 days/week, not home much apart from on weekends. Currently renting a unit, living space is reasonable but can't be described as spacious, room is quite dark as far as natural lighting goes. Work will necessitate moving around quite frequently for the next 5-10 years.
TV will predominantly be used for 4K netflix and blue-ray, with some FTA mixed in occasionally for sports (no subscription service). Not planning on gaming much, just casual stuff on the switch. Last TV is a cheap 40" SONIQ LCD from back in my uni days, so anything really will be a step up. Budget is around 2k. No real rush to purchase.
I've been looking at the LG B9/C9, Sony X950G & Samsung Q80R as viable options.
What are people's thoughts about the above options? Are there any other TVs that would be good to consider in this case? Given the pretty lackluster boxing day sales, when would people recommend purchasing a new TV?
Thanks all!!
We have just changed our TV, the last one we had for 16 (yes 16) years without a problem. The last one was a Sony, the new one is a Sony.
